“Integration is what makes or breaks the success of a deal.”
David G. Fubini is a Senior Lecturer in the Organizational Behavior Unit at Harvard Business School (HBS), where he has taught MBA students, executives, and integration leaders for nearly a decade.
He is the chair of the Leading Professional Services Firm program and core faculty for Mergers & Acquisitions, the annual HBS executive education program that has become one of the most sought-after resources for practitioners in the field.
Before joining Harvard, David was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he spent 35 years as co-founder and Managing Director of the Boston office, leader of the North American Organization Practice, and co-founder and leader of the firm’s Worldwide Merger Integration Practice. Over that career, he advised on nearly three dozen major transactions including some of the largest in the world, witnessing firsthand how integration determines the fate of every deal.
Post-Merger Integration is the culmination of that work: a practical, argument-driven guide for leaders at every level of an integrating organization, written not as a playbook but as a trusted advisor who has seen every trap, lived every challenge, and developed the frameworks that actually work.
